What key initiatives do we support?
We have a fresh, vibrant and inclusive culture at Wanstor and support some key initiatives to make sure our business is adaptive to individual needs and those of our customers.
+ Mindfulness
We work quite closely with one of our customers, Mental Health UK, to help our teams be in good mental shape. We have Mindfulness and Mental Health Champions across the business who have been trained by Mental Health UK to look after our people and be the go-to for support.
We also have fun initiatives like 'Move it for Mental Health' which challenged our business to walk, cycle, run 1,000 miles in a month. It turns out we’re also quite a sporty and competitive bunch!
+ Disability Awareness
We also work closely with Leonard Cheshire Disability, who has been a customer of ours for many years to ensure that our business is disability aware and has measures in place to enable us to not only support their beneficiaries, but also to meet our own teams needs.
We’re proud to wear our ‘Disability Confident’ badge, meaning we’re recognised by the Government as an employer that thinks differently about disability and takes action to improve how we recruit, retain and develop disabled people.
